 Q: What currency are prices shown in? What currency can I pay in?
 A: By default the prices are shown in pounds sterling. You will be paying the property owner direct, so you may be able to negotiate payment in a different currency.

 Q: If I contact you, am I obligated to rent from you?
 A: No, there is absolutely no obligation , we are only to happy to spend time advising and helping you find your perfect "dream holiday", and to put you directly in touch with owners and agents.

 Q: How do I know the properties advertised are legitimate?
 A: All of the holiday accommodation properties on this site have been input or approved by ourselves, and we have taken time to check all the details are correct for you. Of course we cannot accept responsibility for changes in information, and we would ask that you confirm all details with the property owner before booking.

 Q: Are the prices set or is there room for negotiation?
 A: Most holiday rental owners are somewhat flexible on their pricing during certain times of the year. Some advertise discounts or a seasonal rate schedule. If you looking for a week that is not in the high season for a given area, then the owner/manager may negotiate on price.

 Q: Does BuyYourHoliday.com own or rent properties directly?
 A: No. This is a service which allows holiday rental owners to advertise their holiday rentals and helps potential renters to find a suitable holiday rental property.

Because we do not own any of the properties on this website ourselves... then you can be assured that all are treated equally.

 Q: How do I handle payments?
 A: We will put you directly in touch with the owner of the holiday property, who will negotiate payment directly with you. Usually there will be a deposit required, with the balance to be paid in one or two payments, dependant upon the property owner’s requests. Most owners/managers require full rent plus a deposit paid prior to the rental period.

 Q: Are there extra fees beyond the weekly rental costs?
 A: There are typically several additional fees beyond the rental fee. These fees may include airport transfer fees and a refundable damage deposit. The majority of these properties are self catering, so it is your own responsibility to provide food. In some cases, the property owners can provide a welcome pack for you, with staple items to tide you over until you get to the local shops. These fees are usually spelled out in the property listings. However, you should confirm this with the owner prior to booking.

 Q: Can I get refunds due to weather?
 A: Although we can provide you with lovely holiday accommodation, unfortunately we still cannot perform miracles (we're still stuck on turning water into wine!). Since the weather is beyond our control... if you choose not to come or to checkout early due to the weather, you must understand that you will forfeit your rent. Many third party companies offer travel insurance that may cover a trip cancellation due to weather under certain conditions. A Google search will bring up a list of these for you.

 Q: What if something goes wrong while I am there?
 A: Most owners/managers are very conscientious about their maintenance and do a lot of preventative measure to ensure that things will not go wrong. But in the unlikely event that something does break while you’re there, simply call the holiday property owner/manager, whose details will be provided for you when you arrive (or before). The holiday property owner/manager should be able to get the problem resolved quickly and professionally. We take our reputation very seriously, so if you feel that you have been treated unfairly by the property owner... then do let us know, and we will investigate. We cannot always promise a resolution, but repeat offenders WILL be removed from our website.

 Q: How can I provide feedback on my experience with a holiday rental for you?
 A: We always appreciate feedback. Whether you have a suggested item that you would have enjoyed, or if something was not working properly, please let us know. And of course if your holiday was perfect, we would love to hear that too! Some owners/managers include links to guest books within their listing so other potential renters can see your feedback. If you have feedback you believe BuyYourHoliday.com needs to be aware of, please email us on info@buyyourholiday.com

 Q: Do I have to clean the property before I leave?
 A: Cleaning policies vary from property to property. Cleaning staff will come in and clean after you leave. Be sure to ask the check-out policies for the property. Even if cleaning is provided, it is still expected that you leave the property "clean". In other words the cleaning staff generally does not do the dishes and clean up excessive messes. In all circumstances, keep in mind that this is someone's home. Please also remember to keep foodstuffs cleared away to avoid attracting visitors with more than two legs.

 Q: I am an agent with many properties - can I still sign up?
 A: Yes of course. We work happily with agents all over the world, and when the site eventually becomes chargeable, we have very preferential rates for agents.

 Q: Is this site really free?
 A: Yes, absolutely! It is completely free to advertise your property/ies on this website, whether you are a sole property owner... or an agent. NO charges for advertising... no commission charges...

Of course we are not a charity - and once the site has a very large number of properites on it... and many many bookings are going through - then we will look to make a minimal charge.

This is a long time away from happening however, and when that time comes we will let you know - and give you plenty of notice. At that point you can make a decision as to whether to leave your property/ies on and pay us... or it can be removed, without any pressure from ourselves.
